Our Latest Project

Kilkenny road R448, Carlow Town. This project was part of an urban renewal program commissioned by Carlow County Council. The road is located on a central artery servicing Carlow town and services both the Carlow Institiute of Technology Campus and the Carlow Vocational school complex.

A strategic traffic management plan had to be undertaken to facilitate all premises during the works.
The old rutted surface was excavated and a new foundation layer was laid. Special consideration was given to the proximity of the lecture theatres to such a busy road. Once fully prepared, the site received a layer of Morrissey thin layer surfacing which was specially designed to ensure both a quieter and smoother surface for traffic.
