Ground Limestone

The Morrisseys have supplied the Agricultural Ground Limestone (Grolime) market since the 1970's.
We can organise to deliver and spread the Ground Limestone through our extensive network of lime spreading agents in your region.

Ground Limestone needs to come in contact with every particle of soil. It also needs to be applied in good time. This is about 18 months before ploughing where the pasture fields are intended to be ploughed for tillage. This increases to 24 months in advance of Wheat and Barley but also where Lime demanding crops such as beans, fodder beet, and peas are being planned for.

Where it has not been applied prior to cultivating, Ground Limestone should be spread just after ploughing. This allows it to be mixed thoroughly with the soil during spring cultivation.
